JEWELRY SAVVY

First collected and faceted by mineral enthusiasts in the late 1970s, Zultanite® is an extremely rare color changing variety of the mineral Diaspore. It owes its unique palette to the microscopic presence of manganese.

Zultanite®’s key characteristics are its color change, saturation, sparkle and durability. Beautiful, rare, always natural and ethically mined with environmentally safe techniques, Zultanite®’s characteristics make it an excellent jewelry gemstone.

While Zultanite® is classified by the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) as a Type II gemstone (gems that typically grow with some inclusions that may be eye-visible), ZULTGEMS only supply faceted Zultanite® eye-clean (no visible inclusions when the gem is examined approximately 6 inches from the naked eye). This stance significantly reduces yield, increasing marketplace rarity, but ensures consumers never have to worry about the beauty of Zultanite® being anything else but crystal clear.

With over 90 percent of gemstones treated, Zultanite® is one of the few gemstones that are never enhanced. In a marketplace rocked by enhancement controversies, Zultanite® brings instant peace of mind.
